The prep-school angle is what makes this matchup meaningful. Yellow's bench carries two of the top prep hockey programs in the country — Mount Saint Charles and Dexter Southfield. Gray's bench carries two more — St. Sebastian's and Shattuck-St. Mary's. Four of the top prep destinations for the 2011 class, all represented on the ice at 9:30 AM.

Archibald comes into Amherst as the top-producing MA defenseman of the 2011 class — a 60-assist club season signals a puck-mover who generates offense for teammates as much as he chips in from the point. On Yellow he'll drive breakouts and quarterback the power play. If the game opens up, expect Archibald to be in the middle of every Yellow scoring chance. Also the first of four Mount Saint Charles teammates at this camp.

Prudovsky's 22 points came over 65 Dexter Southfield games — a NEPSAC schedule that plays differently from a full club-team calendar. The raw production number is lower than Liao's or Archibald's, but the projection is about how the game translates to a national-level pace. Pairs with Archibald as the second half of the Yellow team's MA presence — one of only two USA Hockey squads with two Massachusetts skaters.

Don't let the missing scout book stats mislead you — Campanale is a known commodity in the Massachusetts 2011 pipeline. A former Boston Advantage Elite, Boston Terriers, and Islanders Hockey Club Elite player, he spent 2025-26 at St. Sebastian's and is entering his freshman year with a real shot at cracking varsity. Possesses excellent offensive skills — and the fit at St. Seb's is compelling: with NTDP-bound Jack Queally now departed for Plymouth, there's an opening on the top of the depth chart for a scoring forward. Campanale might be just the right player to fill it. On Gray he's paired with Liao, meaning both MA forwards on the roster come from very different production stories but bring real offensive tools.

Liao's 120-point season at Shattuck-St. Mary's is the top production line of any Massachusetts 2011 heading to Amherst — over two points per game. The scoring profile is the story: 70 goals is a shooter's number, but 50 assists says he sees the ice and moves it. On Gray he's the offensive engine. The one MA-born player heading out of state for prep (staying at Shattuck for 2026-27), which makes this game the closest thing MA fans will get to watching him play live this year.
What to Watch
Archibald vs Liao. The two biggest MA producers of the class, opposite ends of the ice — and a preview of the two most-scouted 2011 destinations facing each other. Archibald quarterbacking Yellow's offensive zone entries out of Mount Saint Charles; Liao driving Gray's offense out of Shattuck. If Liao's line gets rolling, Archibald's read-and-react in his own zone becomes the first real test of the camp — Shattuck vs MSC in miniature.
Prudovsky vs Campanale down low. Two 5'10" left-shot forwards from different lanes into the same camp — Prudovsky coming off a full Dexter Southfield NEPSAC season, Campanale a Class of 2030 with an elite youth-program pedigree (Boston Advantage Elite, Boston Terriers, Islanders HC) making his prep-varsity push at St. Sebastian's this fall. Dexter vs St. Seb's — two of the most-watched Boston-area programs — going head-to-head in a competitive setting worth logging.
