Who Made the Case for 4 Nations
Jamie Calla
Tied for the MA scoring lead. Ranked #18 among all camp scorers. Delivered back-to-back years of production at NAT 15 (2025, 8 pts) and NAT 16 (2026, 6 pts) — the only MA forward to lead his position group at both camps. If the selectors weight consistency across cycles, Calla's résumé is difficult to overlook.
Colin Walsh
Tied for the MA scoring lead in his first camp invitation. Arrived with a 35-goal, 19-assist MIAA season at Framingham High and a USHL draft selection by the Chicago Steel already on the résumé. Named to the All-Star Game (USA White) — a signal the coaches saw what he did on the ice this week. Case for 4 Nations: two-way production plus outside credentials.
Brodie Anderson
Led all MA defensemen — and led all camp Ds we're aware of in the MA pool. Doubled his 2025 NAT 15 camp total (3 pts) by the second day. Anderson's résumé: NAT 15 returner, Cushing → Master's Academy transfer, five points in five days as a defenseman. Strong case for a U17 Select D slot.
Drew Short
Tied for the MA lead in goals with 3. First-time camp invitee. Winchendon → Belmont Hill transfer. Short took a full day to get on the board — he was pointless through Day 1 and Day 2 — and then produced in back-to-back games. Late-camp trajectory can matter to selectors evaluating growth. Case for 4 Nations: sharp finishing kick.
Sam Fishbone
The 2025-26 prep season's top-scoring MA defenseman (29 pts at St. Sebastian's) and a first-time camp invitee. Producing on both ends this week — 3 pts, plus named to the All-Star Game (USA White). His case is the pure production case: he was the top MA D in prep, he made his first-year impact at camp, he made the All-Star roster. Selectors have every reason to trust the arc.
Also Worth Noting
Tyler Poti was the only MA defenseman named to the All-Star Game (USA Blue), and he picked up an assist in it. Just 1 point during pool play, but the coaches clearly saw something. All-Star Game inclusion — and a point in that game — is its own indicator when the raw stats don't tell the full story.
Owen Frick — the late addition to camp — put up 3 assists in his first NAT camp appearance. Not on the initial roster, and he closed as one of the top MA forwards by points. Made his case.
Robert Dekleine, Jameson Needham — 3 pts each. Solid weeks for a returner (Dekleine) and a first-timer (Needham). Both stay in the conversation.
