It isn't one player carrying it. The 2010 forward group had a single skater clear five points — Jamie Calla, at 8. The 2011 group had five: Robbie McCann (9), Christopher Welby (7), Mason McGovern (6), Maxwell Prudovsky (6) and Patrick Taylor (5). Top to bottom, the 2011 forward line is deeper.
And it's balanced between shooters and setup men. Welby led all MA forwards in goals with six; McCann led in assists with six. On the 2010 side, the offense ran heavily through Calla — his six goals were more than a third of the group's total. The 2011 goal-scoring is spread across more sticks.
The Subplot: The Draft Followed
Now the subplot — and it's a good one, because it hints at what a camp performance like this can become. Take the 2010s' ten camp forwards and look at where they were a year later: every one of them earned USHL or NTDP rights — eight to USHL clubs, two to the National Team Development Program — and seven were also QMJHL selections.

The point totals barely mattered. Blake Wilichoski put up 3 camp points — and wasn't even back for the '26 national camp — yet came away with Cedar Rapids in the USHL and Chicoutimi in the Q. Ethan Machado, with a single point, landed Dubuque. Being one of the ten MA forwards at this camp, more than what you scored there, was the draft signal.
The Verdict
The result is clean: at the same camp, one year apart, the 2011 forwards outproduced the 2010s by 18 points on identical numbers — and did it with more scorers, not one hot hand. Five 2011 forwards cleared five points; the 2010s had one. That's the front-end story of this camp.
The subplot is what it hints at next. If a 2010 forward group that scored 31 still went ten-for-ten on USHL or NTDP rights, a 2011 group that scored 49 at the same stage profiles to push at least as many names onto boards next summer — probably more. That part is a projection, not a promise. The camp result isn't.
