Seven Massachusetts 2011s make up the back end of the MA contingent at this week's USA Hockey Boys National 15 Development Camp in Amherst — five defensemen and two goalies. The forwards are covered separately. This one's about the D and the netminders.
The D group has a clear top in Sam Archibald, heading to Mount Saint Charles — profiles as the highest-ceiling MA defenseman at camp. Behind him, Alexander Bobrov (Belmont Hill-bound) offers a two-way profile with real offensive upside. The other three — Aufiero, Kilimonis, Reneau — bring different mixes of frame, positioning, and projection.
The two goalies split cleanly between prep and MIAA: Brody Dickinson heads to Belmont Hill and profiles as elite for the age group; Patrick Graeve stays at Duxbury High School as an MIAA goalie. Different resume, different projection path.

The Defense
D · Mount Saint Charles · Canton, MA · 6'1"/174 · Class of 2029
Archibald is the top defensive prospect in the Massachusetts 2011 class heading to Amherst. Right shot at 6'1"/174 — college-projectable frame with room to keep growing. He's on Yellow along with forward Max Prudovsky — one of only two USA Hockey camp teams with two Massachusetts players. Also the first of four Mount Saint Charles teammates at this camp (with Deacon Brackett, Robbie McCann, and Jake Reneau) — more than any other New England prep program is sending.

Bobrov brings a two-way profile with real offensive upside. Returning to Belmont Hill for 2026-27 after a year in the program below varsity — joining fellow BH commit Emmett Aufiero (also here at camp on White) and goalie Brody Dickinson (also on White). Three Belmont Hill players at Development Camp, and Bobrov's the most established of that group heading in.

The fourth Mount Saint Charles player and second MSC defenseman with Archibald. Smaller frame (5'6"/135) means the game reads through positioning and puck skill rather than physical impact — Amherst is a chance to prove that translates against national-level competition. Sole MA rep on Lime.
D · Belmont Hill · Winchester, MA · 6'1"/155 · Class of 2029
Aufiero brings the profile Belmont Hill's program has produced consistently: 6'1"/155 right shot with the right frame archetype. Same White team as fellow BH commit Brody Dickinson — two future Belmont Hill teammates opening camp on the same roster.
D · Eaglebrook · Westford, MA · 6'0"/165 · Class of 2030
Kilimonis heads to Eaglebrook for 2026-27 — a pipeline program historically feeding top NEPSAC schools. Left shot at 6'0"/165, with room to fill out. Sole MA rep on Royal.
The Goalies
G · Belmont Hill · Burlington, MA · 5'8"/125 · Class of 2029
Dickinson profiles as elite for the age group. Was in the Belmont Hill program last season but not on the varsity roster — now looking to crack the lineup after one of BH's three varsity goalies graduated in the Class of 2026. The third of three Belmont Hill players at this camp with defensemen Aufiero and Bobrov. Same White team as Aufiero, meaning the future Belmont Hill teammates share a bench at Amherst before they compete for varsity time in Winchester.
G · Duxbury High School (MIAA) · Duxbury, MA · 5'11"/155 · Class of 2029
The MIAA rep in the goalie group. Faced heavy volume behind Duxbury High School this past season — 556 shots against in 871 minutes, roughly 38 shots per 60. Split time in net as part of a three-goalie rotation but carried a real workload when he played, finishing with a .897 save percentage. Staying at Duxbury for 2026-27 rather than jumping to prep. Larger frame than Dickinson (5'11"/155 vs 5'8"/125) and a different projection path. Shares Orange with forward Tyler Newbould — the other MA-connected Orange assignment.
