Three Massachusetts 2010-born players have been invited to the USA Hockey National Team Development Program Evaluation Camp, and all three are forwards who made their mark in Massachusetts prep hockey this season. Jack Queally and Sam Lee dominated the scoring charts, while Blake Wilichoski put together a strong showing at Milton Academy. They are the only players from the Commonwealth on the 45-man roster, and they'll be competing against 24 total forwards from 14 states for a spot on the 2026-27 U.S. National Under-17 Team.

The camp runs March 10-14 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. The 45 invitees have been split into two squads - Team Larkin and Team McAvoy - and will participate in on-ice practices, off-ice training, and a five-game schedule over the course of the week. Games begin Wednesday, March 11 at 9:00 AM and are open to the public.

This is not unfamiliar territory for any of the three. All three were selected to the USA Boys National 15 Team last summer, and all three backed it up with dominant prep seasons this winter. Here's a closer look at what each player brings to Plymouth.

Queally was the top-scoring 2010-born forward in Massachusetts prep hockey, and it wasn't close. His 37 points (16G, 21A) at St. Sebastian's led all players regardless of position. He led all forwards in assists with 21 and was the engine behind a St. Sebastian's program that placed first in the school rankings. A River Rat on the club side, Queally has elite vision and playmaking ability that should translate well against national-level competition in Plymouth.

Sam Lee
Forward • Belmont Hill • #4 Mass 2010 Forward
Club: Minutemen Flames

Lee was the most balanced scorer of the three, finishing with 31 points (15G, 16A) at Belmont Hill - nearly a perfect 1:1 goal-to-assist ratio. If Alex Ovechkin made the left dot famous as "The Ovechkin Office," then Sam Lee built his own office on the right dot. The left-shooting forward parked himself in the right circle of the offensive zone all year and made his money there, picking corners and one-timing pucks past goalies across Massachusetts prep hockey. He held a Top 3 spot among 2010 forwards for the entire season before a late push by Thomas Egan bumped him to fourth in the final standings. A Minutemen Flames product, Lee is the kind of two-way forward who can score and create in equal measure. Belmont Hill's four 2010s (Lee, Nicholas Ware, Robert Dekleine, and Alex Guo) were all USA National 15 selections in 2025, and Lee was their leading producer at Belmont Hill.

Blake Wilichoski
Forward • Milton Academy • Mass 2010 Forward

Wilichoski's prep stats (18 pts, 7G, 11A at Milton Academy) may not jump off the page like Queally's or Lee's, but the NTDP invitation tells you everything you need to know about how evaluators view his talent. USA Hockey doesn't invite players to this camp based on point totals alone - they're projecting skating, compete level, hockey sense, and upside. A Minutemen Flames product like Lee, Wilichoski brings a well-rounded game that clearly caught the eye of the NTDP scouting staff.
