Ten Massachusetts 2011s make up the forward group at this week's USA Hockey Boys National 15 Development Camp in Amherst — the second-largest positional contingent from any single state, and where the offensive firepower of the MA 2011 class concentrates.

The top of the group projects loud. Jackson Liao (Gray) and Patrick Taylor (Red) profile as the two highest-ceiling forwards heading to Amherst — Liao as a lethal scoring forward, Taylor as a pure finisher. Behind them, Robbie McCann (Kelly) and Deacon Brackett (Black) headline a four-man Mount Saint Charles contingent that runs deeper at this camp than any other New England prep program.

Two USA Hockey camp teams carry MA forward pairings: Gray (Campanale + Liao) and Red (McGovern + Taylor). Yellow — the D article's featured MA team — also holds MA forward Max Prudovsky alongside Sam Archibald. Three MA prep programs send two forwards each: Mount Saint Charles (Brackett, McCann), Dexter Southfield (Prudovsky, Watson), and St. Sebastian's (Campanale, Welby).

Forwards

Black Team #11

F · Mount Saint Charles · Hingham, MA · 5'7"/125 · Class of 2029

The second of two Mount Saint Charles forwards and the third MSC player at camp overall. Left shot at 5'7"/125 — smaller frame means the game reads through hockey sense, positioning, and finishing rather than physical impact. Amherst is a chance to prove that translates against national-level competition. Sole MA rep on Black.

Gray Team #10

F · St. Sebastian's · Norwell, MA · 5'10"/165 · Class of 2030

The second St. Sebastian's forward joining Chris Welby. Left shot at 5'10"/165. On Gray with Jackson Liao — one of only two USA Hockey camp teams with two Massachusetts players. Class of 2030, so this is the front end of his prep career, not the back end.

Gray Team #14

F · Shattuck-St. Mary's · Wellesley, MA · 5'10"/152 · Class of 2029

Liao is a lethal scoring forward — the top offensive threat of the MA 2011 group heading to Amherst. The one MA-born player heading out of state for prep, staying at Shattuck-St. Mary's in Minnesota for 2026-27. That makes Amherst the closest thing MA fans will get to watching him play live this year. Also one of two MA players on Gray alongside Brayden Campanale.

Kelly Team #14

F · Mount Saint Charles · Worcester, MA · 5'9"/150 · Class of 2029

The first of two Mount Saint Charles forwards at camp — part of the four-player MSC contingent that runs deeper than any other New England prep program is sending. Right shot at 5'9"/150. Profiles as an offensive forward whose game reads through pace and puck skill. Sole MA rep on Kelly.

Red Team #16

F · Austin Prep · Andover, MA · 5'11"/170 · Class of 2030

Right shot at 5'11"/170 with an offensive profile. Heading to Austin Prep for 2026-27 as a Class of 2030 forward. Second MA player on Red alongside Patrick Taylor — one of two USA Hockey squads with an MA forward pair.

Orange Team #16

F · Hillside School · Lancaster, MA · 5'11"/170 · Class of 2030

Right shot at 5'11"/170 — a projectable frame heading into a Class of 2030 prep career. Heading to Hillside School for 2026-27. Shares Orange with goalie Patrick Graeve, meaning MA has both a skater and a netminder on the same USA Hockey squad.

Yellow Team #15

F · Dexter Southfield · Newton, MA · 5'10"/160 · Class of 2029

The MA forward on Yellow — pairing with defenseman Sam Archibald as one of only two USA Hockey camp teams with two Massachusetts players. Left shot at 5'10"/160. Staying at Dexter Southfield for 2026-27. One of two Dexter forwards at camp with Carter Watson, meaning the two DS teammates will face off against each other in the Yellow vs Gold competition game.

Red Team #19

F · Seacoast Performance Academy · Salisbury, MA · 5'9"/150 · Class of 2029

Taylor comes in as the top pure goal-scorer of the MA group — a shooter's mentality with the resume to back it up. Staying at Seacoast Performance Academy for 2026-27. Red carries two MA forwards, meaning Taylor and Mason McGovern share a bench and roles will sort out over the week.

Gold Team #19

F · Dexter Southfield · Bridgewater, MA · 5'11"/165 · Class of 2029

The second Dexter Southfield forward at camp. Right shot at 5'11"/165 — the projectable frame. Yellow vs Gold puts him head-to-head with Dexter teammate Max Prudovsky in one of the more interesting intra-program matchups of the week. Sole MA rep on Gold.

Navy Team #18

F · St. Sebastian's · Westwood, MA · 6'0"/195 · Class of 2030

The largest MA forward at camp (6'0"/195) — the physical profile that stands out in a room of 15-year-olds. Right shot. Heading to St. Sebastian's for 2026-27 as a Class of 2030 forward. Sole MA rep on Navy. First of two St. Sebastian's forwards at camp with Brayden Campanale.
