We recently published the QMJHL's final Central Scouting Report — 38 Massachusetts prep 2010s ranked across four tiers. We followed it with the Scout's View, cross-referencing those rankings against 2025–26 production.
This piece looks the other direction: twenty-one Mass prep 2010s in our coverage who weren't on the CSR list at all. Some put up real numbers and got passed over. Some are good players whose freshman year didn't fully show what they can do. Some are projects with the right makeup.
Three levels, organized by what scouts have to go on right now. All stats are from the 2025–26 Massachusetts prep season.
Two players whose 2025–26 production — or independent third-party recognition — argues they belonged on the CSR list. Thomas Egan's 32 points would have placed him ahead of every Tier C player and most of Tier B. Zach Mohamed didn't crack the CSR list but did make the USA Hockey Final 40 for the National 16 Team, an independent scouting validation the Q apparently didn't share.
| Player | Pos | School | G | A | P |

| Thomas Egan | F | Austin Prep | 13 | 19 | 32 |
| Zach MohamedFinal 40 | F | Nobles | 7 | 11 | 18 |
Three players who don't have the raw numbers of the snubs above, but who are very good prep players in their own right. Ghostlaw is moving from Roxbury Latin to Nobles for 2026–27. The Tang brothers, former Boston Advantage club players, are moving to East Coast Militia's top team — a step up in competition that should sharpen what scouts are already starting to see.
| Player | Pos | School | G | A | P |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bruce Ghostlaw | F | Roxbury Latin | 8 | 6 | 14 |
| Bear Tang | F | BB&N | 6 | 7 | 13 |
| Tiger Tang | D | BB&N | 0 | 8 | 8 |
Sixteen players whose 2025–26 stat lines don't reflect their ability — players who didn't see heavy ice time but who have the size, hockey sense, and competitive edge that translates well to the Quebec game. The Q has a history of finding value in this exact profile. Defensemen are listed first, then forwards, each sorted by points.
